The May issue of Monitor.HR analyzes the paradox of today’s market: a decline in average employment and companies’ cautious hiring, alongside a record wage increase of 6.6%.

In the May issue of Monitor.HR:

📈 Economy and Wages

  • GUS: Average employment fell by 0.9%, but wages in March rose by 6.6%.

  • Eurostat: The employment rate in the EU exceeded a record 76%.

📉 Recruitment Plans

  • Caution: Only 14% of companies plan to increase employment, and 10% expect reductions (Gi Group Holding report).

  • Flexibility: As many as 70% of companies in retail, manufacturing and logistics rely on temporary workers (TIKROW report).

🌍 Foreigners

  • Employment growth: Despite a drop in the number of documents issued by 8%, the actual number of employed foreigners is rising.

  • Digitalization: The MOS 2.0 system is already active, making it easier to handle residence matters online.

⚖️ Changes in the Law

  • PIP: The amendment to the law expands inspectors' powers (including easier determination of employment relationship).

  • Foreigners: MOS 2.0 has launched
